About Analytics Interactive

Analytics Interactive draws from a team of modeling experts, data visualization experts, software implementation consultants, UI designers, and writers to provide services supporting the design, sales, and implementation of complex analytical software. The company was founded in 2004 by Antje Kann, Ph.D. and is based in San Francisco, California.

Before founding Analytics Interactive, Dr. Kann managed user communications and training at Vivecon, an enterprise software company offering a solution for risk and flexibility management in the supply chain. Previously Dr. Kann was a consultant at Applied Decision Analysis (now part of Pricewaterhouse Coopers), where she developed quantitative models to analyze strategy, planning, finance, and policy problems in a variety of industries. She has also worked with the investment banking group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, as well as Enron's trading research group, where she developed a model used to price energy securities.

Dr. Kann’s work in creating and implementing analytical models in a variety of settings raised her awareness to the importance of focusing on user adoption during all phases of a software application’s life cycle. Her interest in ensuring that users of analytical software can maximize the benefit of advanced modeling technologies was the driving factor behind founding Analytics Interactive.

Dr. Kann holds a Ph.D. from the department of Management Science and Engineering at Stanford and an M.S. in Operations Research from U.C. Berkeley.
